JAMMU, DECEMBER 12 (KNO) : Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh today said that efforts to are afoot to ensure that the people of the state are provided with quality basic facilities of living and necessary directions have already been passed to the executing agencies to ensure timely completion of various flagship initiatives being taken in different sectors. The Deputy Chief Minister was interacting with several deputations who had come to meet him and projected their respective grievances and demands. The deputations had come from Kathua, Mendhar, Kargil, Ramban, Anantnag, Budgam, Poonch, Paddar and other areas of the State. Besides Jammu and Kashmir Federation of Tour Operators, JK Gaddi Sippy Welfare Association also met the Deputy Chief Minister and projected their demands. Dr Singh while assuring early redress of the grievances projected by the deputations also gave on spot directions to the officers of the concerned departments to ensure that these are resolved within shortest possible time. He said the officers should work in a coordinated manner to ensure that people do not suffer and the benefit of the welfare schemes reaches the targeted populace. It is pertinent to mention that Deputy Chief Minister had been conducting public Durbar on every Tuesday in which hundreds of Deputations and people from every district have come for redressal of their grievances.(KNO)
